Coat of arms of Bryansk Oblast : ウィキペディア英語版
Coat of arms of Bryansk Oblast

The coat of arms of the Bryansk Oblast (Russian: Герб Брянской области, ''Gerb Bryanskoy oblasti'') was approved by the Bryansk Oblast Duma on November 5, 1998.
==Description==

The coat of arms of Bryansk Oblast reflects the characteristic features of the area and its inhabitants: industrial power and patriotism.
The center of the coat of arms of Bryansk Oblast is a French shield of colored blue, which represents Slavic unity. In the upper part of the shield is a stylized image of a golden spruce with three-tiered crown, which represents the forests of Bryansk. The tree itself is defaced with the coat of arms of the city of Bryansk, which is the administrative center of Bryansk Oblast. At the bottom of the center shield is a gold-colored beam which divides the shield into three parts, symbolizing the unity of three Slavic countries: Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. It also represents the historical geopolitical position of those three states with Bryansk Oblast.
The coat of arms is bordered with an oak wreath, which symbolizes Bryansk Oblast's status as a subject of the Russian Federation. The wreath is entwined with two ribbons; the left ribbon is that of the Order of Lenin, which was awarded to Bryansk Oblast in 1967, while the right ribbon is that of the Medal "Partisan of the Patriotic War".
At the top of the coat of arms, between the ends of the oak wreath, is the Soviet hammer and sickle, which symbolizes not only the unbreakable alliance of workers and peasants, but also the fact that Bryansk Oblast was a territorial entity created during the Soviet Union.
